it was!!!! actually good. she was always outside, always getting her hands dirty.
       queen of gardens. super active, her parents always had difficulty keeping track of
      her but she always came home. pretty decent kid, but she never. talked to anyone.
  didn’t have friends - not because she couldn’t get them, but because she didn’t want them. 

      she was very isolated, surrounded by grownups most of the time. there were a few
    people at school she knew, but she never liked schoolwork much. vern loved birds -
   birdwatching was her favorite pastime ! but once spring hit, her entire mood changed.
    she was much more withdrawn, angrier, more callous in everything she did. 

     she punched more than she pet, she yelled more than she ever whispered.
      there’s nothing vernal hates more than being referred to as an object.
