‘  that … doesn’t  sound  very  reassuring .  ‘ 

   after  all ,  she’d  been  through  enough  in  the  past  forty-eight  hours .  bruised  limbs , various cuts  and  weary  eyes  aside ,  she  hadn’t  exactly  counted  on  being  chased  down .  but  this  woman  had  rescued  her  from  a  most  certainly  worse  fate  -  vernal  is  grateful  for  that  much ,  despite  being  terrified  and  startled  beyond  her  wits .
